[注] fewer 与 less 的意思都是"较小的"或"较少的"。从理论上说，fewer 指 number，用来指复数名词。又如：Visitors to Singapore were fewer than expected last year. 去新加坡的游客比去年预期的少。/Fewer people study Latin today than fifty years ago. 今天学拉丁文的人比 50 年前要少。less 指 quantity 或 degree, 用来指不可数名词。例如：The average daily rainfall was less than expected. 平均每天的降雨量比预计的少。/If you want to lose weight you had better eat less bread. 如果你想减肥就得少吃面包。
