William Henry “Bill” Gates III (born 28 October, 1955) is an American business magnate, philanthropist, investor, computer programmer, and inventor，one of the world's wealthiest men. Gates originally established his reputation as the co-founder of Microsoft, the world's largest PC software company, with Paul Allen. Since then he has served as a long term chairman of the company, CEO and chief software architect.
威廉·亨利·“比尔”·盖茨三世(1955年10月28日出生)，美国著名企业家、慈善家、投资者、软件工程师和发明家，世界首富之一。早年，他与保罗·艾伦一起创建了微软公司(世界上最大的个人计算机软件开发公司)，并长期担任微软董事长、CEO和首席软件设计师。

Gates was born in Seattle, Washington, in an upper-middle-class family. His father William H. Gates was a prominent lawyer, and his mother Mary Gates served on the board of directors for a banksystem company. Bill Gates grew up with his two sisters and had his elementary and high school education in Seattle. At thirteen, he enrolled in the Lakeside School, Seattle's most exclusive school noted for its rigorous academic demands. There Bill met Paul Allen and also during that time he found his interests in writing programs.

In 1973, Bill Gates was matriculated by Harvard but he quitted from Harvard three years later. He put all his time and energy into designing programs for Microsoft Corporation. Owing to Bill's talent and efforts, Microsoft developed rapidly and its software won more and more reputations among the public.
