有人问到这样两个句子：

(1)Then, one evening in 1902, as husband and wife sat together in their home, Marie Curie said:“Let's go down there for a moment.”

(2)“We'll show you whose order it is, ” said the soldiers, and they led the father and son, to Gessler.

为什么句（1）用 husband and wife ，而句（2）用 the father and son? 又，为什么说 the father and son 而不说 the father and the son ?

三种说法都对。且以 a)father and son, b)the father and son, c)the father and the son 为例。 a)只表“父与子”抽象的父子关系，无强调； b)有强调“这父子俩”的含义； c)更加强调“这父与子俩人”。上述句（1）中的 husband and wife 也就是“夫妻”或“一对夫妻”的意思，不强调“俩人”的含义。
