有一读者问： 经常见到这样的句子：

请问to do与to be done有什么区别？
二者含义不同。to do指说话人本人要去做的工作，to be done则指说话人给予别人的任务。试比较：
(2)There is nothing to do. 没有事干。
There is nothing to be done. 没有办法。
(3)There is nothing to see. 没有值得看的。
There is nothing to be seen. 什么也看不见。
但有时二者无甚区别，如：
(4)There is no time to lose（to be lost）.
