有一读者问：《学英语》报说：
误：People fed the cows with grass.
正：People fed the cows on grass.
可是另一期中却出现了这样的句子：
(1)Being fed with cow milk, the baby lion suddenly roared to give the tamer a start.
请解释。
“feed + 名（代）词”之后一般皆应用介词 on ，但在特定场合中亦可用介词 with ，上述句（1）即是一例，再如：
(2)The child was feeding the monkey with a banana.
(3)She was feeding the baby with porridge.
又，feed 作“提供，供给”解时，亦可与 with 连用，如：
(4)Education does not mean merely feeding the students with facts.
