report（动词）不作“向…报告”解，如“我将向你报告”，不可说I shall report you，该在report后面加上to。I shall report you作“我将告发你”解。

reply作“回答”解是及物动词。例如：He had nothing to reply.和He did not know what to reply.

下面四句意思相仿：

repent和repent of意思相同。

repellent语气比repulsive轻得多。

repeat作“重复”解，repeat again是“第二次重复”，连着本身的一次共有三次。

repay a visit（回访）现在不及return a visit普通。

“赔偿”通常用复数形式reparations。例如：They demanded reparations for the damage.

The mistake is easily reparable里用reparable，不用repairable。

in repair（完好的）=in good repair，out of repair（不完好的、失修的）=in bad repair。注意good和bad的前面没有a。

renter在英国极不普通，但在美国很普通。
