注意下面各句里用purports和purporting，不用is purported和purported：

purchase是庄重的词，大概说购买产业或大批器材或名贵古董的时候用，普通说买菜、买肉等是不用的。

publish往往把著作者或编辑者作主语。如假定Hardy写了一本书，被出版家Wilson出版了，说Hardy has published his book和Wilson has published Hardy's book都可以。

cease publication指“杂志、报纸等停刊”，suspend publication指“暂时停刊”。

the public（大众）被当作单数或复数都可以。

psychology有时指“心理状态”，如the psychology of a criminal和the psychology of cats。

prudent作“谨慎的” 或“并不轻举妄动的”解。

proximo（简写作prox.）作“下月的”解，用于注明日期，如the 28th proximo（或prox.）。
