immunity 与 impunity 这是两个词形、词义容易混淆的词。immunity意为“免除，豁免，免疫(力)”； impunity意为“免受惩罚，不受损害”。

  谁也不应有免受批评的权利。
• No one can assure immunity from error.What is important is to correct it the moment you are aware of it.
  谁也不能保证不犯错误。重要的是一认识到就改正。
• Do they enjoy diplomatic immunity?

• Immunity from smallpox can be obtained by vaccination.
  种牛痘可以免患天花。
• One cannot violate the laws of nature with impunity .
  违反自然规律一定会受到惩罚。
• Those criminals are under a delusion that they can commit crimes with impunity .
  这些犯罪分子错误地认为他们可以犯罪而不受惩罚。
• If laws are not enforced, crimes are committed with impunity.
  如果法律得不到强化，罪犯就会逍遥法外/犯了罪就可以不受惩罚。
