(1) (be) sensible of意思是“知道……;觉察……”,此用法较旧,后接名词、动名词,此外be sensible还接that从句。
- He is sensible of the danger of his position.
他知道他处境危险。 - I am fully sensible of my own shortcomings.
我完全意识到我的缺点。 - He is sensible that he has made a serious mistake.
他意识到他犯了一个严重的错误。
(2) be sensible to表示“对……有所感觉;对……敏感”。
- Are you sensible to extremes of heat and cold?
你对极冷和极热都很敏感吗? - That fellow is sensible to shame.
这家伙对耻辱比较敏感。
(3) be sensitive to表示“对……敏锐、灵敏;易受……影响或伤害”,强调敏锐的感觉;指仪器时,表示灵敏的(如能记录下微小变化的)。
- The mercury in the thermometer is sensitive to changes in temperature.
温度计里的水银对温度变化比较灵敏。 - Children are usually sensitive to blame.
孩子们通常易受到责备的伤害。
(4) be susceptible of意为“可以……,能够……的,容许……的”,后接表示动作意味的名词。(另见“prone...”条目)

签过字的协议是不可改动的。
(5) be susceptible to表示“易为……所动;易受……的影响;易接受,易受到”。(另见“prone...”条目)
