汉译英常见错误

[译] 班机不直达美国，而取道日本。
[误] The airliner doesn't go directly to America. It goes by way of Japan.

[译] 众所周知，水是由氢和氧构成的。
[误] It is wide known that water (H₂O) is composed of hydrogen and oxygen.

[译] 做实验须培育纯种小白鼠。
[误] The mice should be bred truly in experiments.

[译] 那台计算机太贵。
[误] It is the too expensive computer.

[译] 如果我的信息准确的话，人造卫星将于后天发射。
[误] If I am right informed, the man-made satellite will be launched the day after tomorrow.

[译] 那个聪明的男孩迅速作了回答。
[误] The clever boy answered easily.

[译] 我国从前几乎没有造船工业。
[误] In our country, there was barely any shipbuilding industry.

[译] 常常有人请教他。
[误] He is always being asked for advice.

[译] 从广义上说，科学的发展是无止境的。
[误] Broad speaking, the development of science has no limits.

[译] 这个班总共有36名学生。
[误] All together there are 36 students in this class.

[译] 日本几乎没有自然资源。
[误] Japan has nearly no natural resources.
