become后面不可接不定式，如不可说He became to like reading和She has become to be interested，该把第一句里的became改作began，第二句里的to be删去。

He beckoned（招手）me to follow him和He beckoned to me to follow him都可以说。

The reason is和The reason why...is后面最好用that，不用because（很多用because的）。

(and) the beauty of it is that...作“妙在…”解，是滑稽话。例如：

beard指一个人的胡须，不指一根胡须，说一个人的胡须不用复数形式。

除了作“生（孩子）”解以外，bear的过去分词是borne，不是born。作“生（孩子）”解，bear的过去分词有两个，borne和born，但用法不同。

bean不是物质名词，如该说beans and wheat。

be是系动词，如在He is a good man里，也是助动词，如在He is respected by all里。

BC（=before Christ［在基督前］，纪元前）用在年份后面，如237 BC。
