这当然只是指全句主语表示事物或抽象概念时而言，全句主语如指人则是另一回事了。

在这里用 at night, 是由于与其前的 in the daytime 相对之故；用 in the night 则是为了强调时段的概念。

at night 表一时点。它首先多指傍晚或黄昏至午夜的时刻，如：

为什么在 desert(s)之前一个用 through，一个用 across?
