汉译英常见错误

[译] 不到一星期，我竟然坐在了飞机上。
[误] Within a week, I found myself on board of an aeroplane.

[译] 魔鬼答应要是有人把他从罐子里救出来，他会让这个人非常富有。
[误] The Genie made a promise which he would make him rich if anyone set him free from the jar.

[译] 因为我上课迟到，老师批评了我。
[误] For I was late for class, the teacher criticized me.

[译] 这学期我们学许多科目，有语文、数学、物理、计算机、化学、英语等等。
[误] We study many subjects this semester. They are Chinese, Maths, Physics, Computer, Chemistry, English, and etc.

[译] 他问我是否接受邀请。
[误] He asked me that whether I would accept the invitation.

[译] 不管他同意不同意，我都要买这件衣服。
[误] Regardless he agrees or not, I'll buy the dress.

[译] 他从来不喝酒也不抽烟。
[误] He never drinks and smokes.

[译] 我们将乘车而不是骑车去市里。
[误] We shall go down town by bus instead by bicycle.

[译] 我惩罚她的原因是因为她偷了我的钱。
[误] The reason why I punished her is because she stole my money.

[译] 既然他还没有完全康复，安排他做这么艰苦的工作是不合适的。
[误] Now that he hasn't fully recovered yet, it will not be proper to assign him such a hard job.

[译] 直到20世纪中期太空时代开始时,宇航员这个词仍属于科学故事的范围。
[误] Till the beginning of the space age in the mid-20th century the word "astronaut" belonged to the realm of science fiction.

[译] 原子所构成的一切称为物质。
[误] All which is composed of atoms is called material.
