helpless通常作“不能自助的”或“弱的”解，如a helpless child。

用作“帮助”解的时候，help后面接不定式或宾语和不定式，不可接动名词

hello主要用在美国，hullo主要用在英国。

hell（地狱）前面没有the。但what（或where, why等）the hell里的hell前面必须有the：

heir后面接介词to，偶尔接of。例如：

above（或below，或of，或about）the middle（或medium）height里的the用的多，不用的少。

give（或pay）heed to（留心、注意）里用to。

hedge（树篱）和hedgerow（围篱）偶尔用作物质名词，如a patch of hedge和a long line of hedgerow。

The time hangs heavily on his hands（1.他度日如年。2.他百无聊赖。）里的heavily不及heavy普通。

说“天空”用复数形式，前面有the，如a map of the heavens和the starry heavens。
