eight of them是“他们中间的八个”，the eight of them是“他们八个（指全体）”。

egoism（自我主义）指不断地想到自己，是纯粹的自私，egotism（自私自利）是不断地谈到自己，是“自高自大”。

educationist（教育家）比educationalist普通。但都不及educator普通。

He has had a college education里的had不可省去。

educate有时用作“付…的教育费用”解。例如：He educated his sisters after their father's death.
