汉译英常见错误

原文：公园最晚的入园时间是下午4点。
错译：Last admissions to the park are at 4 o'clock p.m.

[译] 他买了一辆名牌汽车。
[误] He bought a very well-known brand of car.

[译] 我听录音带时，反应不够灵敏。
[误] While listening to the tape, my reaction is not quick enough.

原文：她在戏剧界赫赫有名。
错译：She's well known in theatrical circle.

原文：人们希望爱情故事的结局是有情人终成眷属。
错译：People want love stories with happy ends.

原文：我不是故意打碎那个马克杯的——这是个意外。
错译：I didn't mean to break that mug─ it was an unexpected accident.

原文：我完全不同意她的意见，但是我赞赏她恪守原则。
错译：I don't agree with her completely, but I admire her for sticking to her principles.

[译] 警察问他是怎么回事。
[误] The policeman asked him what the matter was.

[译] 很自然，她嫁给了他。
[误] Which was natural, she married him.

[译] 这就是他讲给我听的故事。
[误] The story he told us was such.

[译] 好些次他都给我提了中肯的意见。
[误] Many a time he has given me some good advice.

[译] 我们渴望的时候终于来到了。
[误] Then the hour we had been looking forward to came.
