汉译英常见错误

[译] 只是到了昨天，我才意识到情况是怎样的。
[误] Only yesterday I realized what was going on.

[译] 这是我长期以来想要去的地方。
[误] This is a place where I've long wanted to visit.

[译] 天气那么好，我简直想去游泳。
[误] It is too lovely day that I'd like to go swimming.

[译] 她是唯一在会上受表扬的学生。
[误] She is the only one of the students who were praised at the meeting.

[译] 我们相信他会想来的。
[误] We depend upon that he will want to come.

[译] 在这样一个晚上他会到哪里去呢？
[误] Where must he have gone on such a night?

[译] 情况紧急，病人应马上动手术。
[误] It is urgent that the patient will be operated on at once.

[译] 医生建议他要做一些轻微的体力劳动。
[误] The doctor recommended that he must do some light manual labour.

[译] 士兵必须服从命令。
[误] It is essential that a soldier must obey orders.

[译] 老师将和学生们一起去参加那个聚会。
[误] The teacher, together with his students, are going to attend the party.

[误] It is imperative that you are not late for class.
