 (2) look ahead与think ahead意思相近，指“想到将来，展望未来，为将来做准备或计划”解。

(1) ①think about/of可作“思考，想，回想，为……着想”解。

(1) thin down指“稀释，(使)数目减少，(使)瘦下来”。

thick, slow, stupid, retarded, dumb, backward, awkward 与 muddle-headed 这些词均可表示能力或智力不佳。

(1) there is no doing结构等于it is impossible to...，意思是“无法……；不能……”。

there being和there to be是存在句的非限定形式。两者均可作介词的宾语。

在there be句型中，其后可接现在分词、不定式、过去分词，根据意思来决定。

(1) ①thanks是复数名词，不能接宾语。非正式场合表示感谢可以说“thanks”，也可说：Thanks a lot./Thanks very much./Many thanks./A lot of thanks./A thousand thanks./Best thanks.
